Anyone who has been part of my bourbon presentations will know that I spent a lot of time in the Jack Daniels wilderness and drank a lot of Jack Daniels Old No. 7. Later on, there was some Gentlemen Jack thrown into the mix but then I started drinking bourbon almost exclusively.
Jack Daniels Special Releases
When we started reviewing bourbons on YouTube it was only a matter of time before we reviewed some other whiskey’s. Irish Whiskey, Canadian Whiskey, Tennessee Whiskey, and even some single-malt whiskeys were tasted and discussed on the channel. In the Tennessee Whiskey niche, we began tasting some Jack Daniels special release bottles and the intensity of those bottles, made me look at Old No. 7 in a different light. Luckily, there were multiple JD special-release bottles for us to sample. The luxury of sampling so many special release bottles compares this newest release against a lot of competition.
Jack Daniels 14-Year-Old Whiskey
Is Jack Daniels 14-Year-Old Whiskey the best Jack Daniels Ever? I am not sure but it is likely the best bottle of Jack Daniels I have ever sampled. It is a bold and flavorful whiskey that boasts a serious 126.3 proof level. This expression is an amazing whiskey with a long finish. I have sampled JD 10-year-old, 12-year-old, Bonded, Triple Mash, Coy Hill, Sinatra, and a few others. This bottle of 14-year-old whiskey is special.
